Do you ever wonder why things are the way they are? Why do some things happen the way they should and others completely fall apart. Why can't penguins, ostrich, and emu fly?
As much as I would like to change so many things in the world, I can't. Things are how they are for one reason or another. The only things I can hope to change and accomplish are the things directly under my control. That happens to be a very small amount of things by the way. The vastness of creation is far beyond my comprehension and so when I find myself pondering why, I simply flip the question around; Why not? Because God wanted it that way of course. If you're not able to accept that everything around you is derived for some purpose, whether it be singular or multiple, then you will certainly not be able to accept your surroundings. Of course it is admirable to desire something better. It is only human nature to seek out the best possible way of things, but one must keep in mind that the desires of our hearts are not necessarily our needs or God's wants.
Keep in mind the penguin. I'm sure he wants like crazy to be able to fly. But it's much easier to catch fish in the water than over it. There's a method to the madness somewhere. Don't try to understand the mystery, EXPERIENCE it!
Jeremiah 29:11-14
For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare, not for woe! plans to give you a future full of hope.
When you call me, when you go to pray to me, I will listen to you.
When you look for me, you will find me.
Yes, when you seek me with all your heart, you will find me with you;
Happy pondering,
Adam
